We offer a wide range of street furniture to help with your development projects: rest areas, public benches, passenger shelters, concrete planters, ashtrays, concrete litter bins and marker bollards.
The aesthetics and finishes of our street furniture allow them to blend seamlessly into their surroundings. The sturdiness and durability of our ranges enable them to stand the test of time.

Urban planning

An increasing number of local authorities are taking an interest in participatory urban planning in order to give residents a concrete overview where their money is going. Giving citizens control of their future living environments and spending is proving to be a source of inspiration for local authorities and a source of motivation for their residents.

Attractive passenger shelters in good condition are essential in encouraging citizens to take public transport instead of their cars. Passenger shelters must therefore be constructed in hard-wearing materials that are both strong and durable. Concrete passenger shelters can withstand bad weather (wind, rain, UV rays, etc.), impacts and vandalism. The smooth surfaces of concrete passenger shelters blend seamlessly into any urban environment.

Passenger shelters can be made from glass, polished Granito and wood to help them blend in with their surroundings and to reflect a city's image. View all our models!
In addition to passenger shelters, we can provide concrete planters, concrete bollards, litter garbage cans, benches, bin shelters and rest areas to freshen up your public spaces.

Participatory urban planning

Participatory urban planning is a solution being adopted by an increasing number of local authorities. It enables citizens to keep an eye on the spending taking place in their neighbourhoods. There are several benefits to giving residents a voice:

  • the contribution of new ideas for developing public spaces
  • an additional incentive to involve residents in the development of their cities.

Allowing day-to-day users of urban environments to express themselves can produce a range of ideas and projects aimed at improving the quality of life in cities.

Greening, the choice of street furniture such as concrete planters, their designs and finishes, the creation of spaces for interaction and relaxation, etc. Participatory urban planning is already in use by many local authorities. Think about it!

As well as concrete planters, we offer a wide range of street furniture to meet all your community's needs: rest areas, concrete bollards, passenger shelters, concrete benches, concrete litter bins and bin shelters.

Tips

Why not try out participatory urban planning? An increasing number of cities are taking an interest in these types of management systems. Allowing residents to express their views and contribute ideas about the design of their living spaces can be a true source of inspiration for local authorities. As they use these spaces every day, they are best placed to discuss issues and to find the most appropriate solutions.

Litter bins in public spaces are essential to ensure that cities remain clean, healthy and pleasant places to live in. It's important that their number and capacity are appropriate for the number of people using the site.

We offer a wide range of products for all your street furniture projects. Find out more about our other ranges of urban installations : public sanitaries, containers shelters and sanitary facilities for Traveler reception areas.

Frequently asked questions

Coherent street furniture can improve a city's image as it integrates naturally with the architectural style, enhancing it, but without being ostentatious. While we don’t need to homogenize street furniture on a city-wide scale, one common practice is to define a street furniture style for each architecturally distinct area of the community. Francioli has developed several collections of concrete urban benches, passenger shelters, rest areas, concrete bollards, fountains and concrete litter bins and ashtrays in order to help cities develop a certain degree of harmony in their street furniture. Each product line has an intrinsic stylistic identity which can suit a wide range of urban settings.

Ultra-High-Performance Fibre-Reinforced Concrete, also known by the acronym UHPFRC, or UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete), has a special composition that gives it significant mechanical advantages. UHPFRC is characterized by extreme compressive strength combined with reduced porosity and fibre reinforcement for enhanced strength. As a result, Ultra-High-Performance Fibre-Reinforced Concrete is more resistant to impact, wear, abrasion and climatic variations. The tensile and compressive strengths of UHPC are also better than with conventional concrete. For these reasons, Francioli has chosen to use UHPFRC to manufacture its range of street furniture: rest areas, concrete benches, passenger shelters, water fountains, concrete litter bins and ashtrays, etc. This enables us to produce top-quality products that are both durable and resistant to the hazards of the urban environment.

Street furniture can have a major influence on the accessibility of public spaces for persons with reduced mobility (PRM). Since the Mobility and Handicap Act was introduced, urban amenities have been subject to a large number of standards and regulations that local authorities and manufacturers of urban amenities (public toilets, public benches, concrete bollards, rest areas, etc.) must comply with. As a designer and supplier of street furniture, Francioli makes sure that all of its product ranges: street furniture, public toilets, etc. comply with the many PMR accessibility standards in application.

Street furniture is highly important as it performs a number of functions in public spaces. Street furniture must enhance user comfort. For example, urban benches are highly appreciated by users when they want to sit down to wait, relax or enjoy the environment (especially in parks). Passenger shelters enable users of public transport to wait for their connections out of the rain and wind.Street furniture should be a real asset for a community. Custom-designed, modern, original or discreet... there are a range of possibilities when it comes to choosing street furniture. Street furniture must also be sturdy enough to withstand vandalism. This means that it must be strong. Concrete is a material renowned for its durability and resistance to vandalism and weather conditions (rain, wind, UV rays...).
